I've been thinking about writing a book based on the Dead Space game, except there are a few problems. One of these is of course, a silent protagonist. Really going to be hard dialogue for a character who never speaks, and having no idea what's going on in his head. I suppose I could just do his thoughts, but that could get a bit awkward, not to mention difficult to stay canon. Secondly, but not as hard, would be splitting the book up into chapters/ the time frame.I'm thinking I could copy the exact chapters of the game, Chapter 1: New Arrivals, Chapter 2: Intensive Care, ect. Included in this would be a prologue deatailing a bit of history when Nicole leaves Isaac for the Ishimura perhaps, and an epilogue with the events of the cutscene right before the final credits roll.
The above problems are what I'm worried about, not to mention incorporating the various gameplay aspects such as the store, save stations, and credits.
What are your thoughts here guys? Any suggestions?
