Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was a nursery rhyme and a more eerie version which was used both in the marketing for and within the game, Dead Space. The song also appeared in Dead Space: Downfall, Dead Space: ExtractionDead Space: AftermathDead Space (mobile) and in Dead Space 2.

The song first appeared in the "Lullaby" trailer for Dead Space.

In Dead Space, the song could first be heard if the game was not started immediately after game boot-up when the Lullaby trailer started playing. The next time that it was in Chapter 6 while Isaac rode the elevator up to the West Grow Chamber. The song could be fully heard at the beginning of Chapter 10 while Isaac investigated the Crew's Quarters Lounge where the song would be in a loop.

In Downfall, after Vincent's death, the song was heard as her lifeless body floated into the darkness of space.

In Extraction, the song could be heard near the end of the game while Nathan McNeill was climbing through the vents. He at first thought that Lexine was singing the song, but since she could not be affected by the Red Marker, it was assumed that Nathan was experiencing a hallucination at the time.

In Aftermath, the melody was played often when Nickolas Kuttner's deceased daughter, Vivian Kuttner could be seen and at least once could be heard singing along to it. Kuttner himself could be heard singing along when he hallucinated being with her when he died after she tricked him into sucking himself (Alongside several Marines) into space.

In the first chapter of Dead Space 2, the ghostly hallucination of Nicole Brennan sang the song quietly while Isaac was in an elevator before ending by shouting "Make us whole". It also appeared on the Bridge of the Ishimura in the room with the escape pods outside the Captain's Nest. Two voices could be heard faintly singing it. It could best be heard by standing on or near the elevator.

In Dead Space (mobile), the song could be heard during the beginning cutscene if one listened closely.
