  • I've been thinking about who would win between a Necromorph and a Zombie. I think the Necromorph would win because it could use it's claws to tear the Zombie apart. What do you guys think?

    • This is very broad. It depends on the zombie or even the necromorph. If we're talking about classic zombies like in Romero films, then it would obviously be the Necromorph because of their apparent intelligence (especially Stalkers and the like).

    • Of course Necromorph, because they are much stronger and can combine bodies into massive creatures like Brute or Leviathhan. Also Necromorph can use special abilities like acid spit or wall-leaping.

    • Necromorphs totally win they use flesh to evolve themselves which make them stronger than tanks or even juggernaunts

    • Necromorphs. In almost all cases zombies are dumb and slow. Necromorphs are fast and partially intelligent and the only way to kill them is dismemeberment.

    • Actually it's a bit unfair to compare the Normal!Zombies to Necromorphs, because Necromorphs are advanced parasites creature. Why not take some more advanced version of zombies. The ones we're starting to see in Resident Evil 6 and Dying Light.

      Now, the cons and pros, and why the zombies may actually win over the necromorphs;

Cons; How they infect the living. You can say whatever you want, but a simple bite(or a gaz) is way quicker than taking over bodies. The Necromorphs need to kill as many living creature as possible, and to create Necromorphs there's a need for corpses, so it's a full circle. If i remember well, the Marker is here for this; Create a shit tons of mad people so they kill until there's enough corpses for them. In any case, it may takes them at least one full week to book a city. Or maybe even less. While zombies takes at least one to two days to infect a whole city.

Of course i'm talking If there wasn't an infection to begin with, because if there was already an Necromorph infection, yes the zombies may actually lose because of how much they rely on the virus spread while Necromorphs are basically killing machines. Anyway, next.

Zombies attack to eat(or by instinct, it depend), while Necromorphs attack the living to kill them and produce corpses. The Zombies moves like a pack of wolves, and against Necromorphs they may takes a few munchs of their limbs enough to eat them off. These things will eat anything in their reach, while Necromorphs may be desoriented(because zombies are dead walking things) and unable to take the whole pack heads. The zombies winning factor is their number.

Cons; If they can't produce enough of an epidemic, zombies are easy to stop. Even much simplier for a Necromorph.

Can't survive in space, the cold may freeze their body and make them unable to move.

Necromorphs have more than one way to kill, while zombies rely on their toxic spread and eating/instinct ability.

Necromorphs could take over zombie's bodies(or maybe the virus won't let them ? Idk, it's a possibility)

So yeah, i'm neutral on this matter but i wanted to be the first dumbass to stand for the zombies XD

    • The two have no reason to fight each other. They both kill living people (for food or convergence). So they probably would ignore one another until the moon shows up and absorbs everybody.

But even under this hypothesis, it depends of the type of zombies, because technically, necromorphs ARE zombies. So, if you talk about the classic films, with huge crowd of zombies, the necromorphs would probably be outnumbered. And don't forget the bosses like Big Daddy. But I suppose the regenerators would kill everybody at the end.

Zombies can still win, they just need a Intelligence.

im pretty sure if a Necromorph infects a Zombie, the zombie-necromorph hybrid will still be in zombies side, because zombie's virus will override the markers/brethren moons control.

Zombies can rekt all necromorphs, just get all RE zombies, and BAM, they win.

now the question im talking about is: who will win?

      Nemesis Or Regenerator?

    • I's interesting.

and I think zombies will win.

      because of their virus.

the virus can change the NEC or marker.

or maybe, zombies will be NEC's good friends.:)

    • I like to think Necromorphs are not decaying zombies but reanimated, twisted creatures becoming something horribly new. Not exactly your Dad's undead!
