im forgetful Edit
im sorry, i havent played dead space in awhile and im in a rush, can someone explain why the kellion needed mathius' rig?
- The Ishimura's command systems had been locked out, so Isaac was forced to find the Captain's RIG (containing the codes needed to unlock the ship) for any progress to be made in escaping. --Haegemonia(talk) 20:36, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
Action Figure Edit
Did anyone see the Life On Sprawl thing on the Dead Space site with the toy department, they said they had the "Remember The Ishimura" play kit and it said that the "Captain Matthius figure sold seperately". Should this be in the trivia, just check it out yourself on the site.General Q-Nek 00:11, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
Different Death Areas? Edit
It's interestingly come to me that in the first game, a pool of Blood on the floor in the Captians Nest means that Matthius died there, as the room seems untouched otherwise. However, in Downfall he dies in a much bigger room that resembles the main area where the Officers work. Anybody else notice this?
- While I don't remember the blood, it couldn't have been the Captain's. There's a video log shown when first using the Bridge elevator of the Captain getting stabbed and I'm pretty sure it shows it happening on the Atrium. -- Reignfire 17:12, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
I do see that, but still. It's confusing as to where he was killed, as in film he was killed in what seems to be the main area. Also in Extraction we see a Hallucination of Matthius sitting in his chair with a needle in his eye. But it can be dismissed as a Hallucination, yes. Necromorph-X 19:09, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Thoughts on the needle and Mathius's death. Edit
Was the marker actually onboard the ishimara at the time captain Mathius died? If so I have a theory on the doctor stabbing him while administering a sedative. We've seen (in dead space 2) that the hallucinations people see as a result of exposure to the maker can cause them to take actions in the real world. For example issac almost stabbing himself under the delusion that marker/nicole is trying to stab him. So if the doctor's hallucinations forced him to stab Mathius it would explain why he commented that it must have been someone else that did it. Perhaps he saw a dead relative doing the stabbing only for the needle that was actually in his hand to be plunged into Mathius's face. 22.214.171.124 01:17, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
