A Save Station in Dead Space

Gameplay-wise, they save your game at wherever you find them. It is possible that these are audio-visual log recorders, like the one on the computer Alissa Vincent used at the end of the movie. It is also possible that they are control panels, as evidenced from when Nathan McNeill uses one to deactivate ADS Cannon 47, which would later become a Save Station. Another possibility is that they are publicly open multi-purpose computer terminals; at least one of them has a telephone sign next to it, indicating that they might be used for communication.

Trivia

  • Save Stations are absent in Dead Space 3, instead replaced with an auto-save system.
