Rivet Bolts are the ammunition used for the 711-MarkCL Rivet Gun, first appearing in Dead Space 2.
Overview[]
This type of ammo has the ability to explode and send out shrapnel, therefore giving you the ability to fire five rounds into an enemy (as only the last five rounds fired are destroyed) after it is dead, then using Kinesis and throwing it into a group of enemies before blowing the rivets, effectively creating a "shrapnel bomb", although it is unknown how it uses ammo to cause this explosion. When not collected, it emits a yellow glow.
