The Revolver is a weapon that appears in Dead Space 3. It is the standard-issue sidearm of S.C.A.F. officials during their expedition to Tau Volantis
The Revolver is quite powerful, and is capable of landing precise shots at any target. However, the weapon also has a few shortcomings of its own.
The Revolver by default only has 6 bullets in its cylinder, and coupled with its slow fire rate can make crowd-controlling tedious for inexperienced players. Its damage, however, is relatively high, enough to kill most standard Necromorph variants with a single body shot on Normal difficulty, and with an adequate amount of DMG and SPD Circuits it can be made into a makeshift sniper weapon.
The Revolver does not have a blueprint of its own. It can however, be made at a Bench with the correct parts.
The upper tool of Revolver consists of a Military Engine with a Compact Directed Ejection Field upper tool tip. This produces a powerful magnum revolver.
- This weapon can't be built or used in Classic mode.
- The Revolver is seen in the hands of general Spencer Mahad during the Prologue section of the game. Its first on-screen kill is Private Tim Caufman, who was shot by Mahad in the head at point-blank range. The General turns the weapon on himself soon after.
