History Edit

Events of Dead Space 3 Edit

Alongside her co-pilot, Rosen, Locke aids in the rescue of Isaac Clarke from New Horizons Lunar Colony during the Unitologist siege on the colony[1]. Under Captain Robert Norton's orders, they enter shockspace, locking on to the shockbeacon Ellie Langford and her team took with them to Tau Volantis[2]. When they arrive at Tau Volantis the ship is bombarded and severely damaged by mines[3]. During the rush to safety, Rosen injures his leg and Locke tries to stave off the bleeding.

The destruction of the Eudora sends the room Rosen and Locke are sealed inside hurtling through space toward the ruined Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces flotilla. Norton, Clarke and Carver manage to evade the mines and regain control of the compartment; they take shelter inside CMS Roanoke. Rosen is still losing blood from his injury in spite of Locke's attempts to stop it. Norton and Carver manage to help the two out of the room while Clarke attempts to locate Langford's S.O.S..

During Isaac's search of the ship, Norton's team encounters Necromorphs and are forced adopt Clarke's unorthodox methods to kill them. Once Langford and her team are found, the group makes a combined effort in searching for parts necessary to repair the CMS Crozier. Once the shuttle is repaired, the crew make the perilous journey through the debris and mine fields to reach the surface of Tau Volantis. As the ship starts to fall apart, Locke's computer console explodes, which ruptures the hull of the shuttle, sucking Locke out into the atmosphere of the planet to her death.[4].

Spoilers end here.

Trivia Edit

  • Locke was both the first person of "EarthGov's last batallion" to die and the only member not to have their full name revealed.
  • In her 3-D model files, however, she is listed as "Yvonne"
  • Locke was the only member of Norton's crew who does not treat Isaac with hostility or uneasiness, rather she does not interact with him directly at all.
