The Level 6 Military RIG is available for purchase after loading a "Cleared Game" save. After loading the schematic at a store you can purchase the RIG for 99,000 credits. This is the second best RIG in the game, following the Tank Suit. Providing a 30% armor rating and 25 inventory spaces, equal in inventory space to the Level 5, Elite Suit, Obsidian Suit, Astro Suit, and Scorpion Suit RIGs; but superior to all but the Astro Suit RIG in armor rating (which it matches).

The Military Suit consists of a layer of bone white ultrahardened ceramic armor, with plates of black ironium beneath, and sports the USM Valor symbol on the right breast plate on the chest, though it is likely marines of different ships would wear the emblem of their specific ship on their suit. It is seen in many Earth Defense Force propaganda posters on the Valor, and is worn in-game by the Marines of the Valor (Although they wear several variants of the suit, differing mainly from Isaac's suit by wearing matching shoulder armor.). The suit is standard issue for all Marines of the USM, hence the name.

The design of the helmet is somewhat skull-like and the suit itself is completely different to the other RIG suits, all of which feature several lines across the helm for vision, whereas the military suit helm features only two eye slits, glowing blue. Theories have been posed that where the USG all wear RIG suits that are based on the same model, so do the USM. An air filtration unit and COMLink system is mounted on the mouth of the helmet. The eye lenses consist of ballistics-treated mirronite connected to a helmet recorder and interface.

The boots and leg armor likely include gravity boots and impact dampeners. The skeleton like ceramic armor and skull like mask with fierce glowing eyes are likely used to instill fear into enemy soldiers. Strangely enough the spine mount is not directly fused to the rest of the armor, and the health, stasis, and oxygen meters all jut from the main armor.
