Do you have an idea for a new Necromorph that would make the Dead Space games even more intense? How would you name your Necromorph, what abilities would it have?
Here is the place to share your ideas with the community and discuss about them!

Ok, I`ll start by saying i'm new to the wiki (so sorry if i did this wrong) But my idea is the Goliath, a boss type necromorph. I have a scenario in mind.

  • walking down a hallway*
  • Receive transmission* "Be careful, we have traces of heat signatures in the vents near you"
  • lights flicker, vent makes thudding sounds*

You walk down the long hall, then the lights shut off. You walk farther, then suddenly a creature slams into you from a side vent, then leaps up into an overhead vent.

"Are you ok? It was too quick to detect." "Yeah, I'm fine, I think it's messing with the lights, I'll call you back."

  • continues down hall*

You enter a room with quite a few vents, the lights flickering. A small battle occurs, It will pop from vent to vent, striking like a stalker, but with the flickering lights making it difficult.

  • escape room*

After escaping the room, receive a transmission "It's too fast to fight, we need to find an alternative..."

  • responding* "There's a blast furnace near here, I can try to kill it there"
  • continue toward furnace room, being harassed by it the way there*

In a final battle, shoot yellow areas to weaken it, then lure it near the large furnace. Enter a power struggle, if you succeed, Isaac (or other) kicks it into the furnace. If failed, It falls into the Furnace, taking Isaac with it.

I know that was really lengthy, and i'm REALLY sorry if this was the wrong place, but I hope you like the idea. Totallyspam 21:18, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

My idea is a necromorph called the chameleon, its about a cats hight and has a tail similar to a leaper. Its main ability is of course the ability to blend in but my idea of how it would do this is that it could hide inside dead bodys or random objects like suitcases or containers. When discoverd it would posses the dead body and attempt to kill isaac. If killed it would pop out of the dead body and flee for a hiding spot. If discovered from a container it would trigger a button mash to avoid getting your head ripped off and also it should move very fast and have a blur affect when it moves

For comparison reasons, and to move this forum along a bit, here is a reiteration of one Necromorph post by the same name that I made on one of the blogs with added info:

"Name: Chameleon
Appearance: The Chameleon is basically a copious blob of mottled, bloated flesh scrunched together into a roughly human form. Nearly every bone in the body has been broken, crushed, or dislocated, giving the Chameleon extreme flexibility and other characteristics more akin to a mollusc (the capacity to maintain a shape comes from a drastically reinforced muscular system). The hands have been altered into grizzly talons and the skull has become soft and pliable, like an infant's.
Behavior: This form is designed to exploit the Necromorph strategy of playing possum. A Chameleon will plop itself on the floor or cling to a wall and spread out its copious mass. It then changes the color and physical appearance of its skin so it appears more like a rather thick mass of Corruption (to keep from attracting attention, they would set up almost exclusively in or near areas of extensive Corruption infestation). When it senses movement, it lunges forward while simultaneously reassuming the humanoid form.
Attacks: When Issac is next to one, it will lash out with its talons and attempt to gouge him. Otherwise it will fling itself forward with its arms outstretched. When on the offensive, it will rapidly change the color of its skin in an attempt to disorient the engineer, much like a cuttlefish.
Death Scene: Should a Chameleon fling itself directly onto Issac, it will smother him with its mass while gashing him with its talons and slowly constricting him. Only his hands will be protruding from the mass. If Issac succeeds in escaping, he will force the Chameleon apart just enough to extend an arm and bash in the creature's head, forcing it to release him immediately. If Issac fails or already has low health, the creature will lob off his hands and completely envelope him before squeezing all at once. (You can guess the results)"

Addendum: Being the only two concrete features, the way one would go about discerning where a Chameleon is hiding would be to look for areas of Corruption with what appears to be a half-buried head with what appears to be a set of spider legs on either side. Also, when immobile the Chameleon emits a deep, slow breathing sound with a rasp to it, like trying to move air through an old filter. The introductory scene would involve coming into view of a Corruption area and seeing a survivor (maybe even a security officer) walk up to investigate. Just as they get to the area, a Chameleon would flop up and ensnare the poor victim in a rapid yet unsettling struggle. For added intrigue, each Chameleon would never appear in the same spot more than once when playing campaign (they would always be in the same area, just on a different section of wall or floor). --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 19:02, 5/11/2012 19:02, May 11, 2012 (UTC)

This is actually a swell design for a new necromorph. Although, it could still use some work. Why don't you call it the Creeper? That way it could creep up on you when taking camouflage. --76.18.98.58 16:37, May 12, 2012 (UTC) (1onskates)
Largely because there already is a Necromorph called the Creeper. Also, it is intended to function much like a Grabber, remaining immobile and inconspicuous until a potential victim approaches. Any suggestions on it would be welcome. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 05:05, 5/13/2012 05:05, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

Here's one idea I've had for a while...

Name: Mermaid

Appearance: The Mermaid, as its name implies, is a submarine Necromorph variant found almost exclusively in bodies of water with a depth of more than 10'. It is a Human corpse with a sharp, bony "beak" jutting out of its face, not unlike that of a Stalker, giving it the rough profile of a Goblin Shark. Its hands have split apart and its finger bones elongated into sharp, webbed claws for greater speed and strength. The webbing that connects the claws together are largely made up of skin and cartilage, but some specimens have been recovered where they are connected with rearranged sinews and muscle. Its most striking feature is the lower torso, where the spine has lengthened and become intertwined with organs, fat and muscle to form a large "tail", giving the specimen its namesake. The tail terminates in a sharp, dagger-like blade, apparently made of the host's Coccyx (tailbone). The leg bones have been crushed by the tail's muscles, which are splintered apart and reformed into protective scales that run up and down the Mermaid's spine.

Behavior: Mermaids are solitary when idle, hiding in underwater alcoves and niches to ambush any potential prey within 25-50 feet of range. When Isaac enters their territory, Mermaids let out a grating screech to alert their kin for the hunt. Assembling in swarms of 3-5 individuals, Mermaids will circle around Isaac to disorient him and avoid fire. After a short amount of time, one or two (in some cases, three) Mermaids will break out of the circle and charge towards Isaac beak-first, stabbing him before violently grappling, biting and clawing at him, initiating a quicktime event. Alone, Mermaids will charge at Isaac when at a distance to impale him or scratch and bite at him when near.

Sounds: Shrill, quasi-metallic shrieks, screeches and screams.

Death Scene: If Isaac frees himself from a Mermaid Swarm's grip during a quicktime event, he will wriggle out of their grip and quickly duck down, causing them to attack each other involuntarily and giving him just enough time to escape during the confusion. If he fails to do so, they will cut through his suit and begin digging through his flesh violently until there is nothing remaining but a thick, soupy red fog.

(How's that?)

--Zaedrin 23:08, May 26, 2012 (UTC)Zaedrin

Very impressive. Make it so that most, if not all, Mermaids are derived from women, and you've got a potentially terrifying Necromorph right there. One question though: would they "breath" underwater, and if so, what modifications would allow that? --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 07:53, 5/27/2012 07:53, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, that's a good thought. I was thinking that, for variety's sake, that Mermaids would have a sort of sexual dimorphism like Slashers do. For example, Male Mermaids are tougher to dismember and deal more damage, but Female Mermaids are faster and attack more viciously. As for breathing, I don't think that would be an issue, since if Necromorphs can thrive in the vacuum of space, then surely they can easily dwell underwater. But do tell me this: What exactly do you like about my concept? Sorry for asking, I'm just a feedback whore...XD

--Zaedrin 16:08, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

No problem with wanting feedback. I too enjoy receiving it when I post original ideas and whatnot. As for what intrigued me about your idea, it was mostly just how much detail you put into both the concept and the description here. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 02:41, 5/29/2012 02:41, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. ^^ Here's another idea of mine:

Name: Screamer

Appearance: A frail Human corpse with much of its flesh torn off, leaving mainly bone and muscle exposed. It is likely that Screamers are created from corpses that have had most of their flesh torn off or rotted off, as Necromorphs are not often seen carrying out that deliberate of mutilation. Like the Wheezer, its lungs have grown to more than twice their size, splitting the sternum in half and spreading its ribcage apart to make room for inflation in a fashion not unlike that of a Frigate Bird. Perhaps its most striking feature is a large, bony horn extending out from its face, looking very much like the broken end of a hollow log. This serrated-edged horn, which extends outwards from the face by 1-2 feet (Specimens with 3-foot long horns have been recovered, albeit rarely), amplifies the creature's distinct, baleful howling.

Behavior: Screamers lack claws of any kind, but their Modus Operandi is far more chilling than simple dismemberment. They are often seen patrolling hallways, dragging their feet along in a distinct shuffling gait, likely due to its fragile body having to carry its unusually large lungs. If it spots a survivor, it will run as fast as it can towards the nearest and highest vantage point, roughly shoving any survivors out of its way. Once it has reached its destination, the Screamer will inflate its lungs to twice its size before letting out a deafeningly loud, drawn-out howl. This "Banshee's Cry" summons five to ten (In some cases, even twenty) Necromorphs within earshot to the source of the scream, letting them know that there are survivors fresh for the slaughter.

Sounds: Hollow "huffing" noise. When screaming, an extremely loud, baleful roar. Frequently compared to the unholy hybrid of a Whale Song, a screaming infant, a jet engine and an air-raid siren.

Death Scene: If Isaac is at low enough health and is close enough to the Screamer when howling, his head will explode in a pink-red shower of gibs.

Inspiration: Inspired by the "Om-Eater" from the 1973 Franco-Czechloslovakian film La Planete Sauvage (Also known as Fantastic Planet). http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDReviews33/a%20fantastic%20planet/r2%20fantastic%20planet%20PDVD_016.jpg

Your thoughts? --Zaedrin

Name: the mastermind.

This necromorph looks like a mass of corpses shaped like a brain with spider legs. Throughout Isaacs adventure, it gives him hallucinations and telepathically talks to him.

Battle: isaac has to shoot the legs off. It's main body will open and a tentacle will come out and grab Isaac while it taunts him. If the QTE is failed,it will eat him and Isaacs face appears on it while the mastermind laughs in his voice. If it's succeeded, Isaac will grab a fuel tank and throws it in it's mouth then he has to shoot it. The results are self explanatory.

-theshawnotron.

Like the concept, though I would dial back it's overall intelligence a little. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 01:55, 6/12/2012 01:55, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Name: The Ripper

Appearance: Almost like a skeleton except most of the skin is ripped of (thus exposing bone) and small amounts of muscle connecting the bones together. The creature has its its brain, heart, and other organs close to the heart (either hanging out or hardly connected to ANYTHING).The bones that were part of the original human's arms and legs have been sharpened out as to stab enemies and lose as much mass as possible (without damaging body infrastructure) for speed. This enemy has little health but is quick as fuck.

Behavior: The ripper acts like it would in a "dead space" (look it up if you don't know what this event is) but is all cocooned up. When a player walks in the room it opens up and will immediately jump to the walls or roof (this would be an easter egg in zero G if the player can get it to jump). The only way you can know its there in a dark room is the noise it makes (a clank-clank noise but with bones) and its bright orange eyes (like the swamp looking necromorphs in DS2).

Sounds:The ripper does not making any noise's other than the clank clank that i mentioned before and if walking (after jumping down from the roof/wall to attack player), it will try to be quiet. Also if the player hasn't shot it's torso by then, it will make a weak weez like screech as it is SPRINTING/JUMPING towards the player.

Death scene: If player's health is low enough or if the ripper is going fast enough (this is under special map conditions) it will stab Isaac stomach and heart and start ripping it apart and after that's done it will toss it to the ground and start violently cutting it at a VERY fast paste as if it were on steroids and crack put together.

So-called insperation: The grim reaper, dead space necromorphs and a smile; )

                                                    -HALOFIRE9000 June 4,2012
Err...Can you explain/type that a bit better? And please leave a signature after your entry, it's not hard at all.--Zaedrin 22:07, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
Agreed. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 06:04, 6/2/2012 06:04, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

My reply to "Zaedrin" better? -HALOFIRE9000

Name: Counterpunch

Appearance: Big cat (i.e. tiger, panther) with necromorph mutations. Beast retains its original shape and aesthetics, but a small set of arms protrude from its neck area. Pincer-like jaws emerge from its mouth, and its tongue can impale victims at close range, like that of the Xenomorph in the Alien universe. They have weak ponts on their midsections - problem is, you'll have to get them side-on, which is hard to do...

They're fairly hard to take down and would weigh in as a Brute-scale enemy. They'd be great in a civilian area, like a zoo or animal enclosure.

Behaviour: Counterpunches charge at Isaac and attempt to trap him in their jaws. The Necromorph can also inflict glancing hits from its charge attack like a typical Brute. You'll know they're coming from their loud growls.

I think it could work, but do you? Let me know! OtterSurf 17:13, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

Name: Shooter

Appearance: Ordinary Human corpse with heavily damaged or missing parts replaced with those from other bodies. It has an arm, usually the right one, that has twisted and mutated into a thick bundle of vascular tubing, cartilage and muscle. The most disturbing aspect of the Shooter is its namesake: the ability and level of intelligence to use firearms. Armaments typically used are P-Sec pistols and handguns, but some bearing Pulse Rifles and Plasma Cutters have been reported. The hand used for holding the gun fuses itself around the weapon, its sinew and cartilage curling and wrapping itself around the object, with muscles attaching themselves to the trigger for easier firing. It is impossible to remove the weapon on its own without damaging either the weapon or the tissue surrounding it. There appear to be large, lumpy-looking tumors growing around the ribcage and shoulder of the Shooter, connecting to its shooting arm with enlarged vascular tubes, where small, solid objects can be seen traveling through them. These tumors are actually ammo caches, storing ammunition magazines and transferring them into the weapon itself through the arm, explaining its near-bottomless supply of rounds. The Shooter represents a very disturbing trend in Necromorph evolution, implying that whatever intelligence that rules over the species is finding new ways to ensure its survival and propagation.

Behavior: Shooters move in a more awkward gait than most Necromorphs, frequently limping along as it runs, like an injured Human. Though it is armed, its aim is poor and is sure to miss if Isaac is agile enough. It shoots sporadically, firing anywhere from one to ten shots for every ten seconds. If engaged in close combat, it will violently swing its shooting arm around at Isaac, aiming for his head.

Sounds: Gruff growling and panting. Occasionally, some snarls have sounded suspiciously like Human words, bringing its level of intelligence into question.

Death Scene: If grabbed, The Shooter will force itself on top of Isaac, pinning him down by the neck with one arm and slugging him in the chest with its shooting arm. If Isaac is successful in wriggling free from its grip, he will force its shooting arm into the creature's face, tugging on its trigger muscle and blowing its head wide open. If he fails, the Shooter will raise its weapon arm high over its head and start unloading it into Isaac's abdomen, bisecting him before crushing his skull with the same arm.

Sound interesting?

here is my idea of a necrormorph it is like a slasher but it has two sharp claws it is really heavy type of enemy but not heavier then brutes they should be tough enough to break walls so they can continue chasing Isaaci it should be able to run but not to fast because its heavy it should take a lot of time to kill. death scene:when at low health issac tries to escape from it, it grabs his legs and puts up in the air like the brute does rips his legs apart then it should put its hand in isaac's chest and rip his heart out that would be so damn gory could i get some feeback suggestions and improvements form my necromorph and it also needs a name. --User:Alihalo1

I am pretty sure that the necromorph known as "pregnant" is what you are describing and that death scene belongs to a boss i believe, but if it doesnt...Nice death scene. -HALOFIRE9000

Name: Seeker

The Seeker looks like an ordinary human corpse from afar but one you get close to it, it is revealed that blades are protruding from its stomach while tendrils will erupt from its eyes and mouth.

Attacks: Grabbing Isaac with its tendrils, it will attempt to slash at him with its blades. If this doesn't happen, it will use its tendrils as a whip.

Death Scene: The Seeker will grab Isaac and attempt to tear his arms off with its blades while the tendrils wrap around Isaac's neck and try to suffocate him. If Isaac fails to counter the Seeker will strangle Isaac and cut off Isaac's arms. While Isaac bleeds to death in its arms, the Seeker bites into his neck, roars at the screen and tosses Isaac's body out of view.

If Isaac counters right, he will elbow the Seeker and rip out one of its tendrils and push the creature out away.Serpentaxy400 06:04, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Name: Destructor

The Destructor is a huge necromorph that is many times bigger than brutes, and in some cases, even tormentors. It is a regular human mutated to many times its normal size, with abnormal muscle growth and a uncontrollable thirst for killing, making it one of the most dangerous enemies Isaac will encounter. The enhanced form would have black spikes protruding from everywhere in the skin, and would be two to three times larger than the regular variant.

Warnings: When going into a very wide open space with almost no obstacles and many bodies in sight gives a fair warning of Destructor "territory".

Attacks: This necromorph will powerfully punch Isaac in some range, but when extremely close, will literally try to hammer him. Another attack consists of a deafening roar that will temporarily paralyze Isaac, for a brief time of two to three seconds. The enhanced from would cause much more damage than the regular one, as it has spikes on the skin.

Death Scene: The Destructor will occasionally give out a special punch, slower than most of his attacks. If Isaac doesn't get hit, then the fight continues. If he does, he will get knocked off his feet. The Destructor then grabs his legs with one hand and attempts to smash him with the other fist. Isaac must dodge the fists while shooting the yellow spots on his shoulders that appear every few seconds or so until the Destructor lets go. If Isaac is at low health, the punch will tear his body into multiple pieces. If Isaac fails the action sequence, the Destructor will decapitate him by bringing down a fist on his head. Then it stands up, squeezes the fist the body is on so that blood and gore explodes from it, roars at the screen menacingly.

-bri924 Feedback and comments please!

Name: Manipulator

The Manipulator looks like a slasher without its blades, but toughly armored skin. It is a necromorph with extreme resistance. Stasis does not work on it, and weapons that consist of projectiles such as bullets and Rivet Gun nails cannot kill it. Only types of weapons with energy projectiles (such as the plasma cutter and the force gun) work on it. It cannot be dismembered and must be killed the opposite way used to kill most standard necromorphs: by shooting it in the body.

Attacks: When it swings its arms at Isaac, a long spike will protrude from the palms of the Manipulator. Its secondary attack is attempting to charge and impale Isaac.

Death Scene: The Manipulator would try to impale Isaac from a random charge. Isaac would then see it in slow motion and can leap out of the way. If Isaac fails, the Manipulator will tear his body in half with his spikes. If Isaac is on low health, the swing at close range will dismember whatever part of body it hits. When it charges and hits Isaac, he will look up in shock for a few seconds, then die.

-bri924 Feedback and comments please!

Name: The Ripper

Appearance: The Ripper Appears to have no internal organs in the chest and whatever organs are left are hanging out. The ribs stick out of the hole in the chest and can shoot the ribs out at Isaac and there is another hole in the top of the head. Where a proboscis shoots out to infect unsuspecting victims. The back side of the gripper looks completely normal so Isaac walk unknowingly into a trap. There are tentacles that come out of the chest and the mouth of the necromorph. The tongue tentacle can sharpen and any point on the tongue. Also claw like teeth will come out of the mouth when the gripper grapples on to the player for execution. The arm bones are broken inside the arm and are very sharp.

Warnings: When walking into the ripper area you will here hysterical laughing, crying, screaming, or other disembodied words.

Behavior: The Ripper stands still with it's back to Isaac until it comes within 10 feet of it. It can also can talk unlike other necromorphs. Some things it would say are "Help me" to lure Isaac in or anything else that seems weird or creepy.

Attack Process: When Isaac walks up to the ripper it will quickly turn around and lash out the tongue tentacle around the player's throat. The player must the repeatedly press the X(PS3),A(XBOX 360), or E(PC) button so that Isaac rips the tentacle apart from his throat. After this the ripper will rip it's own forearm off to expose broken arm bones. The ripper will then proceed to attack similar to a slasher and/or will start to shoot out it's ribs. Isaac must then shoot off both arms to disable that attack. Then Isaac must wait and dodge the remaining ribs. The ripper can grapple on to Isaac it will bring on the claw like teeth. The necromorph will then lash out a stronger, more durable tentacle from the chest that resembles a smaller, thinner Drag tentacle. The tentacle will wrap itself around the Isaac's neck once more but this time the yellow pustule in the middle of the tentacle must be shot. After that happens more tentacles will start to come out of the chest. The necromorph will say "Shoot me in the head" and Isaac must then shoot it in the head. The Ripper will then say "Shit" and will fall to floor dead. But when Isaac walks past you must be careful because some swarmers will then fly out of the chest.

Death Scenes: If Isaac fails to rip off the tentacle from his throat The tentacle will release him and will sharpen on the end and will stab Isaac through the chin and to the top of his head it will then rise up from his chin through his face and then the whole thing will run down through his body and split him in half.

If the ripper grapples on during the broken bone/rib fight the ripper will kill Isaac by biting his head with the the teeth and then will swallow his head only for it fall out of the hole in the chest.

If Issac fails to destroy the pustule on the tentacle it will choke Isaac until he dies the ripper will then pull the lifeless body close to it and will whip out it's proboscis and infect Isaac and he will turn into a slasher.

If Isaac does not shoot it in the head it's tentacles will impale Into Isaac's side and essentially rip him in half.

Purpose: Mini Boss to appear up to 6 times

Very nice idea, kind of combining the Infector with some other possible ideas. Btw, please post your signature, okay? --Falloutghoul 20:34, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Nice work, guys. Here's mine: Called The Nercomutant, like 2 Twitchers and a Pregnant fused together so that it has a Pregnant pouch, 4 blades and a cool, intergrated armour of 2 different suits. Sort of a mini-boss. Made by getting too close to the Marker and painfully fusing together the 3 Nercomorphs. Limited regenerative powers, only good for 12 limb regenerations. Encounters: Issac walks down a dark, dreary hallway, attacked by some Lurkers. Once defeated, an unearthly roar/scream is heard. that is the Necromutant being born. After completeing several important tasks, Issac is stalked by the monster. After a while, he faces it in a small room, after it relinquishes it'd grip from above the doorway where Issac enters the room. Power is somehow then cut and Isaac and the Necromutant duel, with random Leapers appearing at times. After Issac defeats the creature, the Marker's power over it is destroyed, and it returns to 2 Twitchers and a Pregnant, which then take on Isaac. When disposed off, the power is restored and Isaac continues on his way.

Death Scenes: If the Necromutant strikes Isaac with any of it's blades on low health, Isaac will lose his head and life. An extra death scene is if Isaac wounds it considerably, then gets hit, the Necromutant will rage and swing all 4 of it's blades in a seemingly random way. When it stops whirling the blades, Isaac's head and right shoulder, completely severed by the attack, will slide slowly off his body. Half his left leg will drop to the floor, and his torso will split into 3 parts, in a Y shape, and fall to the ground. The camera will then zoom in on Isaac's helmet and the screen fade.

If any improvements can be made, please reply below.

I hope you like my creation. Assassin 927 (talk) 02:42, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

well im new to this whole wiki thing so forgive me if i make a few mistakes here my idea is for a large boss type necromorph that is encountered at the end of the game i call him Hades

Hades: a large boss type necromorph 5 times the size of the Tormentor resembling a necrotic wyvern dragon with a bladed tail it is infused with two large propane tanks and a large industrial flamethrower giving it the ability to breath fire Hades has several yellow sacs on his body (one in his mouth two on his back four in his chest one under his chin and one near the blade on the tail) Hades is the guardian of the Marker

First appearance: Hades first appears as Isaac first approaches the Marker he notices there is a peculiar lack of any necromorphs around the Marker as he gets closer he will hear the sound of wings beating and an unearthly roar and Hades will land in front of Isaac adn "speak' to isaac through telepathy and say "My name is Hades" with a deep bass voice that sounds like its being spoken by several people and has a bit of a southern drawl to it after a brief back and forth between Isaac and Hades Hades will say "we are here to take you all...TO HELL" and attack isaac with a long tongue made up of multiple headless and legless torses fused together with two arms at the end which he will use to drag isaac into his mouth at which point isaac must shoot the yellow sack in Hades mouth to make him let go (failing that Hades will pull isaac into his mouth whic will trigger a QTE in which Hades attempts to devour isaac)after that Hades will Reel back raor spread his wings flap them down and rocket into the sky where he will then procceed to attack issac with a barrage of fireballs while in the air isaac must shoot the yellow sacs in Hades chest to bring him back down once one of the sacs explodes Hades will divebomb back to earth creating a shockwave that will knock isaac down and hades will rear up and roar again after hes on the ground hades will procceed to chase isaac on all fours trying to bite punch slash and torch him isaac must shoot the yellow sac on his chin to make him take to the air again after isaac destroys the second sac hades will land in front of him again lower the front part of his body to the ground and impale isaac thru the shoulder to the ground which will trigger another QTE which isaac must shoot the sac on the tail to severe the blade hades will roar and take to the sky once more after two more times hades will land for good and chase isaac again but this time when he goes to breath fire he will lower himself to the ground exposing the two sacs on his back isaac must shoot these several times failing that hades will draw in a deep breath and breath out an extended stream of fire (should isaac stand too close to hades when he inhale he will suck isaac into his mouth which will again trigger a QTE) after isaac destroys a sac it will expolde crippling hades and exposing a hidden propane tank whihc isaac must destroy after both tanks are destroyed multiple small explosions will rip through hades body and hades will collapse for good

QTE: should isaac succeed in the qte he will then have to shoot the yellow sac in hades mouth at which point hades will roar whip his head back and forth then spit isaac out on the ground

Death Scenes: Death Scene 1:should isaac fail the tongue QTes hades will close his mouth toss isaac up in the air and bite him in half leaving his legs to fall to the ground he will then toss isaacs upper torso in the air and bite back down and devour him and roar Death Scene 2:should isaac fail the tail qte hades will lift isaac into the air whip him around and slam him back down on the ground dislodging the blade isaac will attempt to crawl away and hades will stab him quickly twice in the chest spread his wings and say we are ready Death Scene 3:after the four sacs in the chest are destroyed should isaac get sucked into hades mouth hades will then spit him out on the ground chuckle menacingly and bite down on isaacs legs whip his head up in the air left then right then up one more time and slam isaac back down on the ground he will then release his bite pin isaac down with the claws on his wings and bite isaac in half and roar while breathing fire through his nostrils

Possible CutScene?:after Hades collapses for the final time isaac will walk up to hades as he`s taking his final breathes he will say "you cannot stop us...we are the most powerful force in the universe" to which isaac responses "fuck you"

Possible Achievement?:Into The Mouth Of Hell: Defeat Hades

sorry this was so ungodly long i tried to shorten it up :( if its too long or if theres anything to add to possibly help let me know lordhades199e2012 (idk how to do the name thing:()

I think the boss itself is a good idea, but I think a variety of general attacks and battle scenes just for wearing down the boss should be necessary. It is guarding the Marker after all. Also, the speech kind of over does it. I have a hard time believing a Necromorph would have knowledge of human religion and mythology.

Heartbreaker

Description: A necromorph formed from an intact female corpse. The outer appearance is left relatively unchanged save for a large slit in the chest and several other lacerations. At first glance it appears to be an injured young woman. The necromorph retains much of the host's brain function, able to form simple sentences and portray the act of a desparate survivor. Getting too close, though, reveals the truth. The body's innards and bones have been reformed and repurposed into a series of tentacles and scythes that erupt from the opening in the body's chest.

Attack pattern: A Heartbreaker attacks by luring its target into a false sense of security. Once it gets close enough, it initiates a grapple sequence where it attempts to choke the enemy. Failing that, it will repeatedly stab with its inner blades.

Death Scene: If Isaac fails the first series of prompts, the Heartbreaker will strangle him to death. If he fails the second series, he will be stabbed straight through the chest by the Heartbreaker's inner blades.

Dismemberment: The Heartbreaker's head and limbs can be dismembered for a quick kill in case the player becomes suspicious. If one gets close enough to draw out the the necromorph's true form, the tentacles and blades can be dismembered as well.

Eviscerator

Description: A stronger slasher variant with highly increased muscle mass and a head resembling a Leaper's. The infection has also given it an extra pair of bladed limbs. Like Slashers, the abdomen has been forcibly ripped open. Along with the vestigial arms present in normal Slashers, this opening houses several tentacles used for grappling. The legs are much stronger and retain the basic form of the host, eliminating the balance issue normal slashers present.

Attack Pattern: An Eviscerator usually attacks alongside a pack of Slashers. Much like a Brute, it will charge Isaac to engage him using its four bladed arms. If any Slashers get in its way it will tear them apart as it charges. If an Eviscerator is encountered alone, it will hide in the walls and loudly growl or roar to intimidate Isaac before tearing through the wall like it's paper.

Death Scene: When an Eviscerator grabs Isaac, there are no prompts. It will simply rip him limb from limb before turning to the camera to seemingly attack the player itself. An Eviscerator grapple is instant game over, thus it is VITAL to eliminate it quickly and before other Necromorphs.

Dismemberment: An Eviscerator's limbs can be dismembered, eliminating the grapple threat. However it will not kill it. Another target can be the legs, which take way too many shots to remove. The ideal target is the stomach, and the tentacles protruding from it. Targeting these will lead to a quick end to the Eviscerator.

The Cannibal: Anyone who believes this necromorph is named cannibal for no particular reason is in for a nasty surprise.

Description: In it's parasitical form, it looks like a small bony human covered in necrotic flesh with sunken eyes. In this form, it is weakest and will try to hide from the player, sometimes seen peeking out from behind corners like a stalker. When given the chance, it will cannibalize the body of a already killed necromorph. Once it has done so, the cannibal will begin quickly mutate into an incredibly enhanced and perverse version of the necromorph it cannibalized, capable of dealing and taking much more damage than the necromorph it consumed and gaining the tactics and abilities of that necromorph while gaining additional perks. For example: if it consumes a lurker, while it still can walk on the walls and ceiling, it will not become the tiny baby but a dog-sized abomination of it with five tentacles, instead of three, and its barbs are now explosive. Should it cannibalize a puker, its puke will distort the player's vision and will explode when it dies. If it cannibalizes an infector, not only will it look like a horrifying aberration of an infector, it will be able to mutate multiple human corpses into necromorphs in half the time. It will also cannibalize fallen necromorphs in order to regenerate lost limbs, however, it can only take on the mutated characteristics of the first necromorph it cannibalizes. If it cannibalizes another cannibal it will not take on any characteristics. These creatures are fairly intelligent and will try to cannibalize fallen necromorphs the player pays little attention to. While some may risk cannibalizing a necromorph while the player is distracted fighting, others will wait until the player begins to leave before consuming one then going after the player once the transformation is complete.

Strategy:

  • Kill the cannibal in its parasitical form whenever the chance arises.
  • Cannibals take several moments to cannibalize a necromorph and several more moments to mutate, the perfect time to kill it.
  • Try to keep all the necromorph bodies in a single location so that a cannibal cannot secretly consume one.
  • If a powerful necromorph like a brute, tripod, or a twitcher has been killed, pay extra careful attention to make sure a cannibal does not consume one.
  • Cannibals cannot consume small parts of a necromorph (IE: slasher blades, exploder sacs, lurker tentacles). It must consume the body, so cutting up an already dead necromorph in smaller pieces is not a bad idea.

Death Scenes: Cannibal death scenes will be similar to the dead scenes of the necromorph it consumed. For example: the lurker plunges its barbed tentacles into Issac's head and rips it off. A cannibal-lurker will plunge it tentacles into Issac's head and fire, the explosive barbs detonating his head.

Personally, I would see the base form of the Cannibal as being more a fusion of the Creeper and a super-sized Swarmer: a central mass of Corruption-like material with a number of appendages closely resembling the pseudopods of an Amoeba. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 04:44, 6/15/2012 04:44, June 15, 2012 (UTC)

Stinger:

Stingers are recombinated bees from colonies used in hydroponics facilities. they are about the size of a human head, and they retain both their ability to fly (in an atmosphere) and their ability to sting. They attack human beings by overwhelming them, and stinging them into submission. Like infectors they can also reanimate dead bodies, but it takes several of them to raise a single necromorph (usually a Slasher or Puker), and it takes them longer (proportional to number working on a given body). Given time, Stingers will build a hive in the Corruption, with cells for the recombination of bodies into more Stingers. These cells, if punctured (by stray gunfire for instance), produce fresh Stingers. Being attacked by Stingers is a bit like being attacked by Swarmers, except these fly. In the Dead Space universe, Stingers would serve as both environment changers (like Wheezers and the Corruption) and corpse re-animators, as well as defensive swarms.

borst breaker Meaning chest breaker in danish this necromorph kinda looks like a metroid but with a flat head with a spine for a tail coming from it they comee in groups of 2 or 3 and they jump on the heroes chest and try to burrow there tail in them when they do it trigures a QTE if succeded the charectar swings them arround like a lasso then they throw them and when it hits the ground they explode into a red mist. IF FAILED they burrow and then a few seconds later it comes out through the top of the head. They can be found in dead bodies in hollow chests.76.23.6.242 I LOVE NECROMORPHS

Alright. My idea is a necromorph called the Eden.

  Necromorph: Eden
Appearence: An Eden looks like a normal corpse except it's chest is open and it's grossly enlarged lungs hang out of the gash. It's arms have been elongated and they end in claws. It seems that in order to trigger the creation of an eden, a strong presence of the horomone estrogen is required. For what reason is unknown, but because of this, most edens are formed from female bodies.
Attacks: While it obviously has it's claws, an Eden's primary weapon is the fumes exhumed by it's lungs. These fumes strongly affect the victim's senses and cause hallucinations. An example would be that Isaac would see another person as a necromorph or that he could see an Eden as Nicole. While this changes the victim's perception of their suroundings, the fumes do not actually affect reality. A disguised slasher would still act like a slasher for example.
First Sighting: Isaac comes across a madman who attacks Isaac on sight. A ways down the hall, Isaac sees Nicole walking towards him but she accidently trips a biohazard alarm and the air is evacuated from the hallway. Without the fumes, Isaac realizes what the necromorph is and procedes to kill it.
Death Scene: The disguised Eden(As a "sexy" woman of course) grabs Isaac and the necromorph's true form is revealed to Isaac. The necro uses it's claws to grab Isaac by the shoulder and the side of his helmet and the necro pulls. Isaac however fights the beast and it triggers a quick time event. If Isaac wins, he pulls the necro's claws off his limbs and fires his weapon into the creature's exposed lungs killing it. If Isaac fails, the Eden rips off Isaac's arm and shoves him to the ground. It then take's Isaac's shape and stabs Isaac in the face.

Angler:

Anglers are an iteration of necromorph which use a long thin (essentially invisible) barbed tether with an item (a lure) stuck to the end of it, in order to attract prey. Once a person picks up the lure item, the barb thrusts through their hand and drags them into the clutches of the Angler. There should be a way of detecting this trap. Perhaps if you see an item lying on the ground and you're concerned, just kineses it and move around a little and the angler will throw its line, and be forced to come out of hiding and attack directly. Its direct attack could also involve the barbed tether (like Scorpion: "Get over here!") If the player is hooked you would get at least one chance to shoot the tether, and a chance to pull free right before the angler finishes reeling you in. If you survive a fight with an angler the reward is two items instead of just one.

I could use some suggestions on this one. I'm not sure of how this one would actually look, and why. At first I was thinking recombinated spiders (bred and raised for silk production), but I already did an animal, and The inspiration for this on is more based on the idea of making the player weary of casually picking up any shiny object.

Darkstarmike 17:06, June 17, 2012 (UTC)

Name: Revolver

Appearance: The face is basically normal aside from any previous damage. The body is encased in a hard, green "suit," which acts as armor. At the base of the neck, shoulders, wrists, under the ribcage, waist, base of the legs, and ankles, are breaks in the "armor," with blood and tissue leaking out. On the forearms, thighs, and calves are dim yellow sacks.

Abilities: At the breaks in the body, the Revolver can twist itself to up to 360 degrees. It uses this ability to make itself more agile, its attacks more affective, and make climbing and maneuvering effortless. I say maneuvering because I thought it a good idea for it to be found, of course, in vents, and along wrecked ceilings which it can grab and swing on rubble. Its attacks are a retractable blade, about a foot long, protruding from the palm. It can also enlarge its mouth like a snake, revealing poison tentacles and long, jagged teeth. The revolving of its body make its slashing more effective, as it adds a wider variety of attacks (you can use your imagination with this). They can be heard saying notable Unitologist phrases, mainly "make us whole again." It moves much in the clumsy way the Divider does. The Revolvers seem to have a higher intelligence than the average Necromorph.

Death Scene: The Revolver will grab Issac and open its mouth, exposing its tentacle-like appendages, much like the infection at the beginning of Dead Space 2. At this point, a button-mash scene will begin. If successful, Issac will grab the Revolver's arms (or arm) and kick it if the stomach. He will then use his gun to whack the Revolver's head off, at which time more tentacles will emerge from the Revolver's neck and attach to its shoulders. If failed, the Revolver will wield the spike in its right hand and stab Issac in the gut. Then, the Revolver will place its other hand, with the retracted blade, against Issac's head and thrust it into his brain. Issac will fall and the Revolver will rip open the sac on its right thigh. Yellow, seed like balls will fall and dissolve onto Issac, and the Revolver will walk away. Soon after, Issac's body will start to twitch, and suddenly twist 180 degrees at all the previously stated points. The "suit" will be forced out in scales from the skin and form the suit. Issac will then get up, fix all his twisted joints, and stare intently at the camera, transformed. Throughout the game, Issac will witness this happening to survivors.

First Encounter: Issac will walk down a corridor, the walls with Unitology posters on the walls, everything stained in blood. A gaunt figure's silhouette is seen in a distant door frame. Projectiles will do nothing. As Issac proceeds toward the creature, he is suddenly knocked over by a fast moving object being propelled from a nearby vent. He looks up and sees a figure in a familiar suit and RIG reaching down to help Issac up. As Issac takes his hand, the figure pulls him up to its face, removes its helmet, revealing its a Revolver, and screams at Issac, who then whacks the creature in the face, knocking it back. The battle begins. After triumphing, two more appear. The game continues.

Please note that Revolvers may often pose as allies by wearing these suits, or have their bodies twisted in a variance of different ways. Sorry about how long this was.

Names: The Flasher and the Tracker

Flasher

Appearance: The Flasher is the top half of a single human corpse. The hands have been transformed into legs, which are only capable of slow, clumsy movements. The head has been turned inside out, with the brain totally exposed. The brain itself is suspended above the body by the what used to be a vertebral column. Several nerves are also exposed, sticking straight out of the brain. It is a rather short Necromorph and does not appear very threatening on its own.

Attacks: The Flasher cannot physically attack Isaac. They are something of a backup unit for other Necromorphs. When it becomes aware of Isaac, the Flasher will sense an electrical current using its human brain. The exposed nerves then cause a flash, which will blind Isaac temporarily if he is looking at the Flasher.

Dealing with the Flasher: The Flasher is harmless by itself. Unfortunately, it will never be encountered on its own. Even if both legs are removed, the Flasher will remain alive and squirm around the ground, continuing to flash Isaac. If the stem connecting its brain to its body is cut, it will die instantly. Understand that the Flasher's flash can also blind other Necromorphs around it. Use this to your advantage. If you are looking away from the Flasher by at least a 90-degree angle when it flashes you, you will not be blinded at all. The only Necromorph not susceptible to the Flasher's flash is its common partner, the Tracker.

Tracker

Appearance: The Tracker is exclusively the bottom half of a human corpse (the top half usually forming into a Flasher). It walks on four legs, the front two being formed by intestines and bowels. The Tracker has no head, but does have two large nasal cavities protruding from its back. They cannot, however, be severed from its body. The Tracker's backside is heavily armored with most of the bones (namely the pelvis) that used to belong to its human host. This makes its backside highly impervious to firepower of any kind.

Attacks: The Tracker is usually found with Flashers. Since they have no eyes, they are unaffected by the Flasher's flash attack. Trackers usually appear in groups of two to four, surrounding a single Flasher. The Flasher will appear first with a Tracker in front of it for protection. The other one-three Trackers are always hidden. They will never attack Isaac until the first flash. Then they attack in pairs. Since they do not have any eyes, they tend to wander around, sniffing for Isaac while he is blinded. It will take two-four seconds for a pair of Trackers to lock onto Isaac's location with their noses. At that point, one Tracker will run straight at Isaac. This attack is usually easy to avoid, but impossible to stop. The second Tracker will then run forward and leap at Isaac, exposing its only weakness-it's belly. This will be the only chance Isaac has of damaging the Tracker. However, they can also be injured as they run away from Isaac if you shoot their back legs (front legs cannot be dismembered). The Flasher will then flash again in between attacks. If all other Necromorphs in the area are killed (Flasher included), leaving only one Tracker, it will try to run away from Isaac. They are then very easy to kill, but also hard to hit, and will usually get away.

Quick-Time Sequence: Sometimes when a Tracker leaps on Isaac, it will force him into a button-mashing moment. During this attack, the Tracker will attempt to shove one of its intestinal legs down Isaac's throat and noise and suffocate him. If Isaac successfully fights it off, he will pull the leg out of his mouth and rip it off of the Tracker. He will then kick the Tracker off of him. This is the only way to dismember the Tracker's front legs, but it will not kill it. It will only slow it down a little. If Isaac fails, the Tracker will successfully suffocate Isaac.

Dealing with them: The priority in a Flasher-Tracker fight should be the Flasher. Look away from it as it flashes, and then used the two-four seconds that you have before the Tracker attack to dismembers its brain and kill it. After that, the first Tracker attack is easy to dodge, simply step out of the way. The second one, however, can only be dodged by rolling unless you shoot it while it is airborne. If you try to run backwards, you will not be fast enough and the Tracker will strike at your legs. Hard-hitting, single-fire weapons are best when dealing with Trackers (Contact Beam, Javelin Gun, Seeker Rifle. The Detonator can stop them in their tracks completely before they even jump-but it will take two Detonator mines on higher difficulties to kill them). Trackers take turns who will leap and who will charge. Eventually, by dealing with them carefully, you will be able to kill all of them, except for maybe the last one, as it will simply run away and not come back.

Locations: Flashers and Trackers are often found in very dark areas. They will stand in place, waiting for Isaac to become close enough. They are hard to see, and can only be spotted by the sparks that the Flasher's brain and nerves randomly generate. They cannot be engaged from a distance, as the Tracker will stand in front of the Flasher, guarding it from all damage until the fight begins.

Wow, very impressive idea. Kind of makes me think of what would happen if you were to mix a Divider with a Stalker, then throw in a dash of Exploder and Brute. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 03:48, 6/22/2012 03:48, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

The Swimmer

(I had this in mind because of the wintry nature of Tau Volantis)

Appearance: The Swimmer is an aquatic Necromorph, having used only fish corpses during transformation. It is large, long, and heavy, and serves as a mini-boss Necromorph, similar to a Brute or a Tripod. It has long, thick fins for moving quickly through the water, as well as a long tentacle with a bony spike on the end for stabbing at prey. It has no eyes, but relies on a short, stubby tentacle that sticks out from its forehead, which is very sensitive to heat. The Swimmer has shark-like teeth, and hundreds of them. Finally, most of its body is covered in thick, crudely piled scales from all the fish that is made out of. This forms an excellent defense against attacks, and against the freezing temperatures that it has to put up with.

Attacks: The Swimmer will usually remain concealed under ice when it attacks Isaac. It will circle him like a shark and then randomly jab out with its tentacle to try to stab him. Occasionally, it will also surface and spit out Pods from its mouth to distract Isaac. After its primary tentacle has been removed, the Swimmer will breach the surface and try to leap at Isaac. Sometimes, it will also land on the ice and swiftly crawl at him like a snake. During these moments, its primary method of attack is its mouth and teeth.

Button-Mashing: The only time Isaac will ever be put into a quick-time event is if he falls into one of the holes in the ice caused by the Swimmer. The Swimmer will attempt to swallow Isaac, and he will hold it back by using his hands against its upper jaw, and his feet against its lower jaw. If Isaac fails, he will be violently chewed to death by the Swimmer. If he succeeds, Isaac will rip out one of the Swimmer's teeth and stab it. The Swimmer will momentarily flee from Isaac until he can get back onto the surface. Note that this does not harm the Swimmer very much, and is not an effective way of dealing with it.

Fighting the Swimmer: The Swimmer has six total appendages, making it difficult to fight. The first one is its tentacle that it will try to stab Isaac with. It has a yellow pustule, similar to a Tripod's tongue, that can be shot to sever it. DO NOT try to shoot the pustule in the brief moment before it attacks you. Only shoot after you have dodged it and its get stuck in the ice for a moment. Four of the other appendages are the Swimmer's fins (dorsal, tail, and two pectoral fins). The only vulnerable parts of these fins are the point where they connect with the Swimmer's body. Each fin that is dismember will slow the Swimmer's movements considerably. Finally, the heat-sensing tentacle on the Swimmer's forehead can be dismembered as well. If dismembered, however, the Swimmer will become enraged and begin destroying all the ice around you blindly. You have to finish it quickly by dismembering one more appendage before it causes you to drown.

Appearances in-game: The Swimmer may be found in a large body of frozen water that Isaac has to cross. Like Brutes and Tripods, it is usually fought one-on-one (despite the Pods that it might shoot at Isaac). You will be able to see the Swimmer's blurry form beneath the ice before the battle actually starts. It will circle you until you get to the center of the area. You cannot hurt the Swimmer before it engages you. Once you get to the center of the area, the Swimmer will attempt to dive straight upwards at you, breaking the ice. Isaac will automatically dodge this, and the fight will begin.

I like your design, and I also really like the idea of crossing frozen bodies of water. I think its a very primal fear to fall through ice, and it works perfectly with both the setting and mood of Tau Voltanis. I'm tempted to steal the coming through ice idea and adapt it to my idea, the angler

Darkstarmike 19:10, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

I think this would make for a good interaction with Zaedrin's Mermaid concept. Most specifically, I can see one indicator of a Swimmer's presence being coming across a pack of Mermaids, only for them to scatter after hearing a whale-like moan, which turns out to be this big fish. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 23:23, 6/23/2012 23:23, June 23, 2012 (UTC)

Whisperer:

This idea is my direct homage to (ripoff of) HP Lovecraft. Whisperers were senior Unitologist officers, who have voluntarily injected themselves with a refined form of the necromorph contagion. The resulting mutation leaves them resembling the Mi-Go from "The Whisperer in Darkness." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi-go

Migo
DarkstarmikeAdded by Darkstarmike

Whisperers are extremely intelligent, as the calculated mutation they go through is designed to leave their mental faculties largely unaffected. They would serve as mini-bosses, and would have both brute force direct attacks and an ambient incapacitating affect at close proximity (cacophonous whispering voices in the victims mind). If the player falls prey to the voices, a quick-time event will occur. The Whisperer will take hold of the victim and attempt to saw the cap of the skull off with its pincers, and consume the brain (absorbing any information stored within, including the "essence" of a Maker). A successful button mash results in the player tearing one of the tendrils off of the Whisperers head, causing it to drop its prey. Having wings similar to those of the Infectors, Whisperers can fly around a bit, but will spend as much time using them to shield their vulnerable heads during fights.

The first encounter with this new enemy should go something like this: As the last of his troops fall against Isaac and Carver, a Unitologist commander addresses them from the protection of a glass barrier or by video link. After some Mercer like religious rhetoric, he produces a syringe filled with an orange fluid and injects himself directly in the eye. The transformation ensues and the fight begins.

Survivor

"What the hell are these things?! FUCK MY EYES! *gun shots* Somebody help"

Appearance and behavior: So the survivor would look completely human, with the exception of the sclera (the white of the eye) would be orange. After a while their eyes would become necromorph yellow and they would begin attacking Issac meanwhile screaming different things along the lines of they have no control of what they are doing. As they continue their attack and parts of their flesh would rip off on Issac's armor and their fingers turn into blades. The quick time event tied to these "necromorphs" would start a grappling match and a succesful button mash would have the survivor plead for Issac to let them live as Issac punches them in the head breaking their neck and starting the chain reaction of having them finish becoming a necromorph of a random standard type right in front of Issac, a failure of the button mash would have the bladed fingers of the survivor slit Issac's throat all the while the survivor is sopping saying "I'm sorry". An advanced form of the survivor would be a random standard necromorph with a human head pleading for you to turn around or kill them. Should you dismember them before a head shot they would start screaming in pain alerting more necromorphs to come. --TwistedFire1218 23:51, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

"Be carefull, What ever these guys had attached to them, it's still part of them"

Even on places like the sprawl, You are ggoing to have multiple people who have lost an arm or a leg, be it by sickness or an accident, so naturaly, in this futureistic setting, they would be outfitted with an cybernetic artifical limb. Well, we've seen that technology can influence the recombination process from twitchers. These Handi-capable Necromorphs would have a faux arm or leg, if it was shot, it would only serve to piss of a necromorph and waste ammo. Howeverm if a player tried to Meele a necromorph with a prostisis, you might find yourself injured on a jagged part of the limb. It's even possible, that the necromorph infection is so advanced that that the prostisis is transformed into a "Psuedo slasher arm".

A necromorph call Copy Cat.

a necromorph that is like a slasher doesn't have any blades, when it sees Isaac or another human, it'll their form and attack them, they use their claws if not in a human form, and when in human form, they'll use the gun that the human is using.

Death: If Isaac doesn't get out of a Copy Cats grasp, it will turn into Isaac and then start ripping him to shreds, then when finished it just laughs in a deep voice. If Isaac does get out of the Copy Cats grasp, he will kick it in the gut, then grab its head, he turn into him and then he will shoot it three times in the gut, then it'll fall to the ground and Isaac will stomp on it's head.

Name: Bloodletter

Appearance: Bloodletters' are necromorphs who take on the bodies of often athletic and in-shape men and women with increased stamina, agility, strength etc. Their bodies are largely unmauled or deformed and are seen as more brawny compared to standard Slashers with their musculature and physique being put to good use. Unlike Slashers, Bloodletters do not possess shoulder-mounted scythes but rather grow one large scythe from the palm of its right hand (size compared to that of a Pregnant) while their left hand has instead highly sharpened 'nails' or 'claws'

Behavior: Bloodletters are more akin to ambush predators, and have a unique habit to mimic the shrill cries of anguish and horror its previous victims omitted in an attempt to lure more to it. It it capable of preforming numerous acrobatic feats such as chukes, tactical rolls, and even possessing enough intelligence as to take cover from Isaac at a distance to avoid fire.

Attacks: Standard slashs with follow-through from its right hand with additional strikes from its clawed left hand. Of course when the Bloodletter closes the distance between its prey it won't back off after an attack it will strike relentlessly until whatever stands against it is dead.

Death Scenes: The Bloodletter will lunge at Issac, both locked in a struggle each with a grip on the others wrists. If Isaac wins the QTE he will break loose of the vice-grip and deliver a right cross to the Bloodletters' contorted face, fazing it momentarily before it roars with anger, Isaac will quickly pick up whatever gun he had dropped and fire it once severing the Bloodletters' head altogether, this will not kill it but rather blind it momentarily. If Isaac fails the QTE the Bloodletter will gain a the upper hand on Isaac crushing his right hand with his clawed left hand and putting Isaac in a sort of head-lock with the same arm, with Isaac struggling the Bloodletter with then deliver a single forceful stab in his head under his chin, killing Isaac instantly. If Isaac is at low enough health when the Bloodletter strikes at him, he will merely be killed by loosing whatever limb the Bloodletter was aiming for.

Strategy: Regular dismemberment will do with the Bloodletter HOWEVER there is a twist, if Isaac manages to dismember it elongated right-scythe arm, it will suddenly raise it left arm and fire its nail-like claws at Isaac as projectiles causing minimal damage but rather in an effort to stun him while it grows a new large scythe into its left hand. This can even be done if one of the Bloodletters legs is shot out.

Additional Notes: Sorry if this was a little long but I had no other way of getting the necro idea across, as for variety I haven't had any ideas that would differentiate male and female Bloodletters but let me know what you think!

-Second Horseman

Name:Corrupter
Appearance:A small thin tentacle with a bone based needle at the end and right above the end is a small glowing yellow sac which serves as the weak point and also holds a small amount of concentrated Necromorph contagion.
Behavior:It will pop out of a hole or vent and wrap the player up and try to stab the player unless they shoot the weak spot.
Attacks:If the player fails to shoot the weak spot it will stab his arm then retract. Right after he gets up his arm will start going berserk and try to kill him.
Death Scene:This triggers a QTE in which the player needs to burn the Necromorph contagion out of their arm with the plasma cutter or flamethrower if they have it (the flamethrower would probably burn the contagion out faster). If they succeed they will have low health but will survive. If they fail then their arm will strangle them and they will fall over and die but then their body starts to twitch and then violently mutates into a random necromorph.

Name: -In progress-

Appearance: The average slasher hight and width, Covered in legions of rounded (Damage resistant) black masses. Instead of the standard bone-blades, The same black rounded masses are on its arms, acting as clubs or crude cudgels.

Origin: Let's say this body has been selected to be a slasher by the infection, and that the body is surrounded or even buried under ice. The infection process creates a very large ammount of heat, enough to burn at touch, or ignite clothing or carpet. The process would heat the body during the infection process, then be instantly cooled by the ice. Tempering the bones and creating the legions of black masses around the body.

Here's my idea...

The Arachnimorph

Appearance: The Arachnimorph resembles a Pack at first, with jaws that have been transformed into pincers. It's eyes are no longer visible, it's eye sockets have disappeared underneath flaps of flesh, meaning that the Arachnimorph relies mostly on smell and hearing. The most distinguishing feature is the eight Slasher arms residing where the host's arms used to be. The top arms are made from the host's original arms, the other six are actually made from ribs from it's rib-cage, the ribs have been straightened, sharpened and stretched, along with joints developing in the middle of the ribs to allow them to move just like arms. To make up for the lack of a proper rib-cage, extra muscles have been added to help support the Arachnimorph's spine. It's skin is pink like with most Necromorphs. More often than not, the Arachnimorph will play dead, like other Necromorphs, until a victim wanders too close to it.

Vocal Cue: It makes a loud screeching resembling that of a Lurker. If a Twitchy Arachnimorph is in the room, it sounds like gibberish.

Physical Cue: If Isaac walks into Arachnimorph territory, he will find an extra amount of limb-less corpses lying around, possibly because the Arachnimorph is still transforming and needs extra muscles and bones to support it's weakened spinal structure, meaning that the virus is smart enough to improvise.

Death Scene: If an Arachnimorph grabs Isaac, he only has a few short seconds to struggle free before it decapitates him and severs his limbs. If he succeeds, Isaac will throw the Arachnimorph off of him and crush it's head under his boot. At the end of an Arachnimorph's death, it's skin will change from pink to gray, due to blood-loss. If a Twitchy Arachnimorph grabs Isaac, he only has less than a second to struggle free.

Strategy: Use Stasis on it to slow it down and chop off it's arms. Another technique would be to use the Line-gun or the Pulse Rifle to cut it's arms off quickly. Explosives will completely dismember it, excluding the head. Stasis Tanks will not only slow it down, but dismember it's legs if thrown at it's legs. If Isaac is in front of a wall and moves out of the way just as the Arachnimorph lunges for him, the Arachnimorph will die from impact on the wall, meaning that it has a very weak bone structure. Using Stasis and then hitting it will also dismember it, again, hinting at the weakened skeletal structure. Explosives will clear out a room of Arachnimorphs, quickly.

Enhanced Form: The Arachnimorph has two enhanced forms. A regular Enhanced Form, with a black coating. The other enhanced form only happens when Isaac kills a Twitcher and an Arachnimorph in the same room. The Arachnimorph's corpse will absorb the Stasis unit from the Twitcher and resurrect itself, regenerating all it's limbs. This form has been known as the Twitchy Arachnimorph, mainly because it now demonstrates the same qualities of a Twitcher. Because of it's spastic movements and random bursts of speed, the Ripper and the Javelin Gun are rendered useless against it.

I know it's a little long, but, I've had this idea floating around my files for some time now... --Pjhealy98 08:46

I like this concept, but what about the bodies original legs? --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 04:49, 7/11/2012 04:49, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm. I don't know which name to call it... but the Excavator, or Surveyor, can burrow underneath surfaces at high speeds. It then emerges from below, dealing damage to the player. On higher difficulties, it can unleash small quakes to disorientate the player. Indoor Scholar (talk) 23:23, July 10, 2012 (UTC)

_______________________________________________________

Name: Breather (Yeah, I'm bad at names)

Aperance: These Necormorphs are essentially a form of Wheezers, but capable of moving. They look somewhat like Wheezers, but their legs aren't fused together and their arms hang free. However, they do not posess any mutated weapons (like blades and claws), Because they still show the enomous lungs, they walk rather slowly.

Behaviour: Breathers are purely passive, trying to avoid the player, similar to stalkers. They are incapable of physical attacks and will always try to run away from the player. The catch about them is that they will never be encontered alone (exept maybe the first one to show off). They are found in rather small to medium sized, closed areas (ie a storage room), where they are accompanied by other Necromorph of all kind. Their "attack" is to breath out toxic gases, wich, supported by the corruption, shut down life support, meaning that personal air support is needed. This will persist for a while (like 10sec) after the Breather dies.

Death: Lacking attacks, the only death one can suffer by a Breather is suffocation.

Strategy: If trapped in a room with a Breather, there are two ways to deal with the situation: First, one can choose to go directly for the Breather. Their heavy breathing sounds make then not too hard to spot and they are rather slow and not very resistant to damage, dieing after loosing a limb or after a few bodyshots. However, the player must pay attention the other Necromorth, getting cornered and without air can be a painful death. The other way is to deal with the other enemies first and quick before disposing of the then lonely and helpless Breather. It is wise to always keep some aircans in the inventory in case a breather shows up.

Other: No enchanted form. The Breather is a utility Necromorth wich adds a timer to sertain events. While an upgraded RIG in terms of air and and Aircans greatly help out, this means investing Nodes and inventory space. And heck, it always sucks to have a timer on your back while some monters charge you. I kinda liked the Wheezers, but wondered why they never showed up again. Also, this games needs a passive mob. Stalkers were great, but even they run into your detonater eventually. 11monkeys (talk) 23:07, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

What I enjoy about this form is that it follows in the footsteps of the Spitter (a variant on an existing form unique enough to be considered separate). What I would add is the Breathers having a defensive aspect that adds a little more urgency to combating them. Specifically, they could have a habit of expelling thick clouds of gas whenever approached that fill the area, hiding themselves while making it more difficult for the attacker to proceed. The cloud would begin to dissipate after a few seconds, but nevertheless would prove inhibitory to the player. Also, hitting a Breather in the back while it's inhaling would cause it to violently rupture, spreading a more persistent cloud. --ToaCodyNuva (talk) 20:43, 7/17/2012 20:43, July 17, 2012 (UTC)

Name: The Submarine

Appearance: A colossal necromorph covered in calcified skin and excess bone, its shape is a bit like a torpedo but it ends in whale like tail as well as having a pair of whale like fins. Its mouth is a radial maw like the Hivemind but no eye like sacks, on its head is a large hole (bit like a whales) which houses a drag tentacle with an eye on the end.

Attacks: When above water, it either tries to flatten by leaping straight out of the water, during this, it may also attempt to eat the players, it can also use its drag tentacle to attack. Once the player ends up in the water, it will occasionally attempt to charge at the player which can brutally kill the player if they get caught with no chance of escape, it takes a while to muster up the strength for it however, it can finally spit boney projectiles at high velocity.

Fight: It starts by the player fighting it on ice, primarily using its tendril to attack, you need to tempt it to leap at you my shooting its tendril before it can grab you, once this is executed, it will leap out of the water, trying to eat the player, side step and shoot its blowhole as much as you can, repeat until a cutscene initiates. At first nothing happens, leaving Isaac confused, suddenly, The Submarine will smash the ice beneath Isaac, causing him to fall in the water, now Isaac must swim about (you can't use weapons here), avoiding The Submarine's 'torpedoes' until it charges, if you get it to charge in the direction of a submarine wreckage, it will get lodged in it. Now you need to swim in and grab a torpedo inside, initiating a quick time event. If the player succeeds, the torpedo will land in The Submarines mouth, exploding and forcing it out, if the player fails, the torpedo just hits its head and does nothing. This needs to be done a few times before The Submarine succumbs to death.

Death Scenes: 1: If the tentacle grabs Isaac, he must do a button mashing event, succeeding allows the player to wriggle out of the tendrils grasp, if failed, the tendril smash the player into the ice floor, breaking it and knocking him out than dragging him into the water where blood fogs it soon. 2: If the player gets caught when The Submarine leaps, he will be knocked into the water, a prompt will appear briefly, if the players does the prompt, the player will quickly swim out and pull himself onto land, failing will cause The Submarine to swim back round to Isaac who will be trying to exit the water, The Submarine will eat Isaac whole. 3: If Isaac gets caught in the charge, he'll be caught in The Subamrines maw, the tentacle will come out and grab Isaac by the waist and start chewing him and tearing him apart, turning him to indiscernible carrion. 4: If the players health is critical and gets hit by one the boney projectiles, it will hit him in the stomach or head and kill him at which point, The Submarine comes up and eats the corpse.

Introduction: Isaac will be traversing a stretch of frozen lack when he encounters a mad survivor, the survivor will be talking gibberish to himself, the player will be prompted to speak to him, once the prompt is done, Isaac will try to say something when the survivor cries out "The Submarine's coming, it'll eat us all!" At that point, he starts panicking, Isaac tries to calm him down but the ground will start rumbling, Isaac steps back, only to have The Submarine jump up and swallow the survivor, "Isaac, there's something down there, something huge."

16/07/2012 22:25 Atervirens, feedback would be nice, derived from the Swimmer.

name: The Bonecrusher

Appearance: Like a brute but 7 times bigger than a tormentor and reptillian with scythe tipped tendrils hanging from its back and postules on its knees and shoulders.

attacks: when all of its limbs are intact it will attempt to lash out at isaac, punch him, or attempt a charge, a very slow one, that will instantly rip isaac apart, when its legs are off it will drag itself towards isaac and attempt to crush, punch, or bite him. without its arms it will use the tentacles on its back aswell as its tail. it will also unleash an explosive postule from its mouth that leaves behind a miniature and much weaker reptillian slasher. (going off gears of war's lambent logic with that one)

fight: it will start off in the biggest room right before the marker, the room will have mutilated corpses of soldiers all over it with a gigantic mass in the middle, which uncurls and immediatly takes a potshot at isaac with an explosive postule, when one leg has been shot off it will use the corresponding arm to gaurd the other and will briefly move the arm to attack, if the arms are shot off it will start flailing with its tentacles and tail and release postules far more often, the reptillian slashers take only a few bullets to kill but its a bad idea to keep your full attention on just the slashers, once all but 1 limb is left it will start flailing wildly, doing damage equal to a third of isaac's health with a punch or tail sweep, it will roar in agony once all limbs are gone and then flail for a few seconds before expiring.

death scenes: 1. if its charge connects with isaac he will be torn to pieces immediatly and then roar. 2. if isaac is at low health and a punch connects it will send him into the cieling like a gravity panel and as he falls down his body breaks apart, the bonecrusher letting out what sounds like a chuckle. 3. if isaac is at low health and the tail connects he will be bisecting by it with both parts flying across the room, at this point all the bonecrusher will do is growl. 4. if the tentacles hit isaac at low health a quick time event will occur where the tentacles pull on his torso and legs, if he succeeds isaac will blast off the tentacles holding him, if he fails he will be torn apart. 5. if a bite connects with isaac at low health he will be torn apart immediatly and the bonecrusher will swallow the torso.

introduction: isaac will enter the room and look around seeing the corpses before spotting the bonecrusher, yelling "what the hell is that? are you seeing this?" and a still alive soldier nearby will struggle to stand up, reaching out to isaac before the bonecrusher's tail crushes the soldier and will turn around, slamming its fists into the ground and roaring at isaac. throughout the game glimpses of it and its roars will be heard, near the end when the player sees the marker, if they look into the room on the opposite side to them they will see the bonecrusher curled up, when isaac does as he did in DS2 where he unlocked the door and a swarm of necromorphs killed the soldiers, he will try to escape them and eventually they enter the bonecrusher's room in an attempt to escape the necromorphs only to meet their end at the hands of the bonecrusher. the last soldier alive is the leader, and in a futile attempt to get isaac to help will say "i'm sorry isaac, they made me do it, just help me!" before the bonecrusher gets tired of hearing him, when killed the bonecrusher's eyes still glow, seemingly showing that it is either to stupid or to stubborn to die immediatly, however it does not regrow its limbs like the ubermorph or hunter, and expires before it can consume the soldiers in an attempt to regenerate the limbs.

22/07/2012 24:15 Basilisx would like to see some feedback and opinions of it.

My newest idea for a necromorph...actually, I was thinking about it for a long time.

Information: The Ribcage (About Isaac's height and weight)

Appearance: The Ribcage is an infected survivor, but they don't really look human. The Ribcage has two regular legs, no arms, and no head. It has a ribcage in front of it that opens up and chomps down on others.

Attack: If you were to go into a button-press stage with the Ribcage, it would bite you with its ribcage and you would have to press the following button to escape. If Isaac succeeds, he rips one side of the ribs off, killing the Ribcage immediately. If he fails, however, the Ribcage continues festering on your body and rips you in half. It eats your entire top half.

The First Sequence:

  • Isaac is walking on a large platform. He is escorting somebody to their ship.*

Person: It's one of them!

  • The Ribcage is bent down, not showing its appearance yet.*

Isaac: Wait a minute, that's a survivor. Person: No way, man! That's one of them!

  • The person grabs a pipe off of the ground and sprints up to the Ribcage screaming.*

Isaac: Hey, wait! WAIT!

  • The Ribcage turns around quickly, knocking the guy down on his back. The Ribcage screams, as its 'ribcage' opens up and a small yellow oval is revealed. The Ribcage chomps down on half of the person. The person gets cut in halfand you hear the flat line beep.*

Isaac: Holy shit! (and the first Ribcage is revealed.)

I really hope you like me idea.

The Thing

This creature only make few appearances, and when it does it will be a powerful boss-type creature.

Attack: the thing attacks by taking the form of a major plot character, like say ellie, it would them call isaac/carver/both of them over, they would think that it is the real ellie, but when they get close to it, it splits in half vertically at the waist, showing the destroyed flesh and organs ( it just disguises itself as the character, not kill them and disguise itself) It would charge at isaac and try to close itself on him, if he succeeds, he would put his boot between the split part and push down, ripping the thing in half. if he fails, it would bite his top half off, then devour the bottom half, after that it would mend itself together and take the shape of isaac then walk away.

The it is very weak to fire and the areas it is in would have explosives lying around, also, shooting at the split parts would knock off that half, killing it.

(i thought of this after watching the thing and its prequel)

Name: Mass

Appearance: A spherical mass of mottled, decayed flesh with legs like a T-Rex, arms similar to its legs but larger, its head is also like a T-Rex's but lumpy and shorter with no ear cavities. It has a mass of tendril like nerves on its knees, one on its back and one on its forehead, on its chest are four holes which tendril like a lurkers but don't throw barbs and are thicker erupt from, the whole creature is supported by a thick, external skeleton. To give a rough idea of how big they are, their heads are the size of a brute.

Attacks: It makes use of every appendage it has, trying smash Isaac with its arms and legs, stab and slash him with it's tendrils and bite him with it's maw.

First Appearance: Isaac will be in wide clearing in a forest, a loud, high pitched roar will issue from the right, the camera will point towards the area where it issued from and slowly zoom in, a Mass would burst through the trees after a few seconds seconds of zooming, the Mass would look down and roar at Isaac, initiating Isaac's first fight with a mass.

Strategies: 1. Mass's can't be killed by conventional means, since a Mass has so much to control as well as their regenerative abilities, they need minor control 'nodes' to assist in controlling their bodies, first shoot the node on either of its knees, this will cripple that leg temporarily. Shoot the one on its back to knock it out (the body will be tilted due to it's leg collapsing beneath it), shoot the node on its forehead to finish it, if you don't quickly enough, the nodes you shot will regrow and it will wake up. 2. Don't bother with the flamethrower, a Mass can regenerate faster then they burn, rapid ballistic weapons like the pulse rifle are also useless. 3. A quick, precise weapon (e.g. plasma cutter) is a near must to kill them. 4. Alternatively, if you're aim is a bit poor at long range, you could also use a ripper or a heavy duty weapon (e.g. line gun) or even the javelin gun to temporarily cripple its leg by attacking it's leg bones instead, don't try to dismember them though, you can only do that with its tendrils. 5. If it swings its arm, get out of the way, it's difficult to persuade it let go. 6. If you can, try to get a sneak attack on them with the seeker rifle, their perception isn't too good. 7. The arc welder is extremely useful for this fight as the electricity it fires is attracted by the nodes. 8. The mine launcher is also an excellent choice for those who can use it well, two well placed mines (one for it's legs, one for it's neck) will blow its head off quickly. 9. Ignore the Mass itself if other necromorphs attack you, it's not very hard to avoid its attacks. 10. An obvious sign of a Mass in the vicinity is a lack of corpses and body parts and a wide, spacious area with few obstacles nearby, this is because a Mass is a product of recycled corpses which are too damaged to be made in to any other necromorph, body parts and chuncks of meat being piled up in one spacious place.

Death Scenes: 1. If you're grabbed by its arm, you'll be held in front of its mouth, shoot its ugly maw to make it let go, if you succeed, it'll release you , resuming battle, failing will cause it to eat Isaac. 2. If Isaac has low health and is stomped on, he'll be knocked to the ground, the attacking Mass will proceed to smash Isaac with its fists until Isaac is an indiscernible chum. 3. If attacked by tendrils with critical health, it'll wrap around his waist with the other three ripping off his legs and right arm, the camera switch to a view beneath him at which point, sounds of slashing and tearing will be heard and blood and bits of gore would drop to the ground, a dead Isaac would drop to the ground, showing that his innards were ripped apart.

This is my first post ever. I'm sorry if I made any mistakes, but I've had this necromorph Idea for a while, and I wanted to share.

Name: The Insect.

Appearence: It is about the size of a brute. It has a similar body structure to a leaper, except it has four large spiderlike legs. It's arms are very muscular, ending with razor sharp claws. It has a very long tail, which is more solid than a leapers, but also ends with a serrated blade. The creatures's torso is heavily armored, like an insect's carapace, except where the legs and torso meet. It's head is large, mainly because of it's massive jaws. It has a top and bottom jaw, with a pair of fang like mandibles on the sides, in addtion to its huge teeth. It has four fangs on top, and three on the bottom, also it has several spider like eyes.

Behavior: This necromorph is meant to be a challnging miniboss, fought in a large open area. Like most insects, it has the ability to walk across walls or even ceilings. I have a scenario in mind, where Isaac walks into a large room, believing it to be empty, only for the Insect to drop from the ceiling and land on top of him, starting a quick time event. this is the start of the first encounter, and you will find more Insects later. In combat the Insect is very agile, dispite it's size, and it uses this to it's advantage. going from the floor to the wall to the floor again. It attacks with its claws, and tail, and then every so often from a distance it will leap at you, which does considerable damage, but can be avoided, by using stasis.

Tactics: The reason the Insect is so mobile, is to prevent you from getting an easy shot at the base of it's legs. (where they join the torso.) Two things are key to fighting an Insect, Stasis, and keeping you distance. Stay as far a way as you can, from it, and stasis it in place. While it's slowed open up on the soft part of its legs, and make sure to take the back legs out first. That will really make it hard for the creature to move. Take off two of its legs, one front and one back. and the Insect will be dead.

Death Scenes: If your at critical health and it slashes you with it's claw. It impales Isaac with it's claw, and bites Isaac's head off, it then rips it's claw downward through your body, disemboweling it, It throws your corpse aside, and stares menacingly into the camera. In the first encounter, the Insect drops from the ceiling on tpo of Isaac, with Isaac dropping his gun in shock. you have about six seconds, to find the gun and grab it with kinesis, and shoot the Insect. (It doesn't matter where as long as it's close to the face or torso) If you succeed the Insect jumps back, and the battle starts. If you fail, The insect grabs Isaac's head in it's mouth and violently swings him around like a ragdoll, with the force of being swung breaking Isaacs spine, the Insect eventualy lets go throwing Isaac's body across the room.

 Hypergamer445 (talk) 08:10, August 12, 2012 (UTC) I would love some feedback.

This is my first post. If I made some mistakes just change it right away. (including grammar)

Name: Adapter

Appearance

The Adapter is very big. It composes of 2-3 corpses (4 if enhanced). It has 3 arms and are built for killing survivors and two tentacles for grabbing objects and has the potential to throw a human. It has two legs and somewhat each leg composes of two conjoined legs. It torso is mainly composed bones. It has a giant mouth composing of 3 jaws (one on the right, other on the left and one under) capable of crushing skulls. On the back of the Adapter are extra biomass, using it when a limb is destroyed.

Ability

The Adapter got its name because it can adapt from any environment and situation. It can use its tentacles in space by simply grabbing on an object or a part of a spaceship. If its limbs are dismembered, it will regenerate the lost limb using its extra biomass. When the Adapter's health is critical, it will flee and attach itself on The Corruption then after a day it will detach itself then continues to hunt survivors. First sighting of this creature was at the USG Ishimura. The witness called it "The Devil" and was later ordered to be killed. Surviving officers called it "The Adapter" because it was impossible to kill in any environment. For instance, if the Adapter is in a snowy environment it can change its skin color to white for ambushing Isaac.

Strategy

RUN FORREST, RUN!!!

You can simply outrun the Adapter because it is relatively slow.

Use Kinesis

By using Kinesis, you can save ammo for other Necromorphs.

Dismember and Destroy

Even though the Adapter can regenerate, it is advisable only to dismember the arms and tentacles. NEVER dismember the legs. It is also good to shoot at its extra biomass. Advisable weapons to use are fully upgraded Javelin Gun, Pulse Rifle, Force Gun and Plasma Cutter . A good tactic is to dismember, then Statis.

Avoid,avoid,avoid

If you accidentally or tried to dismember its legs, it will regenerate 4 legs instead of two. This will cause an increase in speed and it can use it's legs to jump long distances.

Use fully upgraded weapons

Good weapons to use are fully upgraded Javelin Gun, Pulse Rifle, Force Gun and Plasma Cutter.

Shoot the weak points

The Adapter has 10 weak points. 2 on each arm and 4 on its extra biomass.

Destroy once and for all

To kill the Adapter, first is to Statis, then shoot the extra biomass then dismember first the legs, then the tentacles then the arms, then the head. A good weapon to use when using this tactic is the Force Gun's secondary fire (modified). Be careful when using this tactic: When standing to close to the Adapter when in Statis, it may break out of Statis then throws you using its tentacles which may deplete health.

Death scene

Isaac has 3 death scenes from the Adapter:

If Isaac fails to dismember the limbs with a critical health, it will use its tentacle to crush Isaac's helmet and skull.

- This can be avoided by using Statis or Kinesis to slow the Adapter down which will give Isaac enough time to escape.

If Isaac is standing too close to the Adapter with a low health, the Adapter will grab Isaac's arms using its tentacles then cutting it using its blade then stabbing Isaac on the chest.

- This can be avoided by using the tactic given in the first death scene.

If Isaac dismembers its legs, it will regenerate 4 legs then goes straight for Isaac then cuts him in half using its blade.

- This can be avoided by using Statis while/after the Adapter is/has regenerating/regenerate.

Death scene of the Adapter

Mentioned earlier, use the secondary fire of a Force Gun (modified) to destroy the Adapter's extra biomass and dismember every limb. When finished, Isaac will stomp the Adapter's head, then says "You're not so tough after all.", then leaves the room where they are.

Hope you guys like it Mr.2Dpot (talk) 15:40, August 26, 2012 (UTC)Mr.2Dpot

Name: the red ocean

Appearance: its a sea of sentient blood.....it was made in a unitoligist experiment by accident, its extremely violent, even for necromorph standards.

Ability's:Can take the shape of any necromorph or person. Also seems disturbingly intelligent and can be heard taunting Issac as he tries to kill it.

Death Scene:Issac pushes an airlock button and the red ocean is jetted out into space. The blood takes the form of Nicole and strangles him to death and then says "we are whole".
