Dobbs was a member of P.C.S.I. Security who worked aboard the USG Ishimura. He was a rookie, which is mockingly referred to by his co-workers, and displayed an eager and charismatic personality; often joking with his coworkers, most notably Shen. Upon entering the morgue, the crew points out there are no bodies in the room, and Shen says she counts at least 15 footprint trails; Dobbs examines a mutated corpse unaware of the danger it harbored. As the Necromorph woke, Dobbs was attacked by it and was bitten on the hand. The Necromorph proceeded to cut and slash at Dobbs, catching the P.C.S.I crew by surprise. By the time the crew managed to pull the Necromorph off of Dobbs he had been wounded severely and was losing a lot of blood. His hand was held by Vincent before he died. While Dobbs sustained mortal chest wounds, his head was undamaged, leading to the conclusion that he likely became a Necromorph.
